Maureen Reid is dedicated to bringing out the best in people.

Since founding Maureen M. Reid LLC in 2007, Maureen has delivered workable solutions for the people issues facing professional services firms. She is a creative problem solver, combining her 30 years of practical business experience with thoughtful and innovative solutions.

Maureen’s high energy level and excellent group facilitation skills combine to make her workshops lively, interactive and effective—getting high marks on both style and content. With a strong background in competency development and design, she has created performance models for managers and administrative staff members describing the behaviors that lay the foundation for a client service culture.

At national conferences, Maureen has presented on such topics as teaching law firm economics, building competency models for development and training, managing intergenerational issues in the workplace, and providing effective delivery service models. Her column on Support Services, Youth Shall Be Served, was published in the March/April 2008 edition of Law Firm Inc. The May 2009 special report on Law Firm Administration in The National Law Journal featured her article, For Some Lawyers, Management is an Option.

Maureen was the Director of Human Resources for Clifford Chance US LLP, a global law firm of over 5,000. She began her association with law firms at Sullivan & Cromwell, as Director of Human Resources. She held positions in training, compensation administration, and employee relations at Mobil Oil Corporation and at International Playtex. Early in her career, Maureen was Dean of Students at Manhattanville College.

Maureen received her MBA from the University of Connecticut and an MS from Southern Illinois University. Her baccalaureate degree is from Niagara University. She was honored to receive Niagara’s College of Arts and Sciences Dean’s Award as their outstanding alumni, in 2010.

Maureen is a member of the New York Bar Association’s Committee on Women in the Profession and co-chairs its Committee on Women Partners. She’s also on the Programming Board of the National Association of Women Lawyers and has served on the Planning Committee for their annual meeting.

Maureen lives in Rockville Centre, New York, where she is on the Board of Directors of the Educational Foundation.
